AsScheduling & Special Projects Assistant for U.S. Senator Bob Casey, I designed visual assets to accompany initiatives led by the office's Chief of Staff and Administrative Director. Projects ranged from public-facing displays and takeaway materials to internal documents for staff. Projects were often assigned on tight deadlines with limited instruction and few parameters.

Summer Reading List

I compiled data on top reading recommendations from staff members into a "reading challenge" document distributed office-wide to support team-building during early-pandemic remote work. I used InDesign to create the document and exported the final PDF into Acrobat to modify the final page, generating fillable fields so that staff could use it as an interactive reading log and track their reading progress digitally.

2020 Performance Review

I collected office performance data and used a blank canvas in Canva to design an internal document that communicated and celebrated staff performance metrics. Color and typography were selected to match Senator Casey's logo.

Class 1 U.S. Senators of Pennsylvania Gallery Wall

I created a gallery wall installation of Class 1 U.S. Senators of Pennsylvania for Senator Casey's refurbished conference space in his Washington, D.C. office and designed an accompanying handout for constituents. I selected photos for framing, researched the history of Pennsylvania's Class 1 Senate seat, and designed and drafted copy for a 4"x6" postcard handout and matching wall placard using a blank canvas in Canva. Given that this is a public-facing product, I selected colors and typography synchronous with the Senator's recent logo rebrand.

Office Return to Work Plan

Asked to translate a plain text Word document detailing new office COVID-19 protocols into an organized and easily digestible designed PDF in one hour. I used a blank canvas in Canva to create the document. The visual hierarchy and emphasis of text were at my discretion. Colors and typography are synchronous with the Senator's recent logo rebrand to convey a feeling of formality and unity with broader office policy.
